After a comfortable journey in our air-conditioned minibus, you’ll start with a remarkable natural site: the Cascade-aux-Ecrevisses.
This waterfall is located in the Guadeloupe National Park, recognised as a natural biosphere reserve by UNESCO. Your guide will take you to this magnificent waterfall in just a few minutes. He will introduce you to Guadeloupe’s rich and complex ecosystem.
We will then visit a workshop where a manioc cake known throughout the Caribbean is made: Cassava Bread. You will taste this famous Amerindian cake while your guide explains the contribution of Amerindian cuisine to our gastronomy.
In the same region, you will visit an exceptional Agricole rum distillery. You’ll be immersed in a distillery on a human scale, whose controlled production enables it to produce remarkably fine rums. You’ll discover different approach to distillation where small batches of rhum are processed with finesse and expertise. An introduction to the analytical tasting of their rums will be offered at the end of the visit with your guide.
We’ll finish our driving tour with a stop at one of the three local craft breweries of the archipelago. You will taste two of 2 craft beer tastings paired with smoked fish, local charcuterie, or french cheese.
After this stop, it’s time to board your minibus for the return trip to the cruise terminal, where you will arrive around 2:30 pm.
