First of all, you’ll discover an exceptional family-run patisserie, almost a hundred years old. We’ll discover the products that have made their reputation. Your guide will explain the history of these dishes, which are now an integral part of West Indian gastronomy.
We’ll then visit a local delicatessen where you can sample some uniquely flavoured charcuterie.
We will then visit a distillery that is over a hundred years old. Agricole rum will hold no secrets for you. A tasting session will be offered at the end.
The tour ends with a workshop in which cassava based dishes are made. The guide will explain the history of this craft, handed down by the Amerindians. For lunch, you will be offered a savoury galette and a dessert.
After this stop, it’s time to board your minibus for the return trip to the Pointe-à-Pitre cruise terminal at around 1.30pm.
