ITINERARY

MEETING POINT: OPTION 1 (POINTE-À-PITRE CRUISE TERMINAL)
If you are on a cruise ship calling at Pointe-Pitre, our driver-guide will be waiting for you from 8.30am or 9am (depending on your ship’s arrival time) near the tourist office and shops (Terminal 1) of the cruise terminal with a sign mentioning your name. Further information will be provided at a later date.
MEETING POINT: OPTION 2 (HOTELS IN POINTE-À-PITRE OR LE GOSIER)
If you are staying in a hotel/apartment in Pointe-à-Pitre or Le Gosier, our driver-guide will collect you free of charge from your accommodation from 8.30 or 9.00 am. Further details will be provided at a later date. If you live outside Pointe-à-Pitre or Le Gosier, please let us know your address so that we can give you a quote if necessary. Please note: this option is only available for private tours or orders with a minimum number of people required for the tour. This option is not available for shared tours.
STOP 1: POT STILL RUMS AND ANALYTICAL TASTING
You’ll be immersed in a distillery on a human scale, where mastery of production allows us to produce rums of remarkable finesse. You’ll discover a discontinuous approach to distillation, where small batches of rum are processed with finesse and expertise. An introduction to the analytical tasting of their rums will be offered at the end of the visit with an in-house guide or by your expert guide.
STOP 2: COLUMN STILL RUMS, A PARCEL-BASED APPROACH AND A CENTURY-OLD ESTATE
A unique, century-old estate with over a century of expertise in the production of exceptional agricole rums. You will meet people who are passionate about rums. You’ll discover the continuous distillation process for agricole rums and visit the distillery and fermentation area. You will taste their rums. You will walk through the cane fields and discover how the soil can influence the taste of the rums.
STOP 3: WOOD-AGED RUMS AND THE ART OF AGEING
The tour ends with a visit to the archipelago’s only rum distillery specialising in the ageing of rums. The in-house guide will take you on a tour of the ageing cellar and bottling area to show you the long process of ageing distillates, the work of the cellar master and the production of amber and old rums. The tour ends with a guided tasting session with the in-house guide, during which you can sample the aged rums of your choice.
END POINT >
After visiting the rum distillery, it will be time to board our minibus for the return trip to the cruise terminal in Pointe-à-Pitre or to your hotel. Estimated return time is around 1.30pm.

  • Estimated return between 13:30 and the cruise terminal in Pointe-à-Pitre or your hotel in Pointe-à-Pitre or Le Gosier.
  • If you want to share your tour with others, you can put it on Cruise Critic. Most of the time this gives good results. You must do this yourself as we are not accepted on their site as a professional business.
  • Participants must be able to get on and off the transport. This tour is not accessible to wheelchairs, electric scooters or walkers.
  • Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • The price is based on a return journey from the cruise terminal in Pointe-à-Pitre to a hotel in Pointe-à-Pitre or Le Gosier.
  • This small-group tour/shore excursion requires a minimum of 4 participants. If the number of participants is insufficient, we offer a postponement or a full refund.

Yes, it’s possible. This tour immerses you in the history of the island and its age-old know-how. Alcohol consumption is never compulsory. You’ll discover Guadeloupean culture, history and identity through these 3 rum distilleries.
In Guadeloupe, distilleries generally serve 1 to 3 rums at tastings. It is always the rum produced by the estate that is tasted. Important note: for all our customers who have taken part in wine or drink/cocktail tours to other countries, please note that the average amount of rum served in Guadeloupe is less than in other destinations. Although we try to work with more generous estates, only they can appreciate the amount of rum poured into a glass.

Any cancellation by THE CLIENT must be notified to us by email or telephone, whatever the reason, the following amounts will be due as fixed penalties:

  • If you cancel at least 7 full days before the scheduled departure or local start time, no cancellation fee will be applied.
  • If you cancel between 3 and 6 full days before the scheduled departure or local start time, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total price will be applied,
    unless cancellation is a result of (i) your ship’s inability to dock and/or disembark passengers; or (ii) the excursion, event or activity vendor’s inability to
    operate your respective excursion, event or activity and written notice is received by us within twelve (12) days.
  • If you cancel within 2 full days of the scheduled departure or start time of the service, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total price will be applied, unless
    cancellation is a result of (i) your ship’s inability to dock and/or disembark passengers; or (ii) the excursion, event or activity vendor’s inability to operate
    your respective excursion, event or activity and written notice is received by us within twelve (12) days.

Applicable refunds will be processed within thirty (30) days of the date we receive your cancellation request back to the original method of payment or by
bank transfer.

Yes, it is possible for us to collect you from your hotel. However, this is only possible for bookings of a minimum of 4 people or as part of a private tour. In addition, all hotels located outside Pointe-à-Pitre or Le Gosier will be subject to additional charges.
