A CRAB FARMER OPENS HIS DOORS TO YOU [30/45 MINS]
After a half-hour drive, your tour begins with a visit to an unusual crab farm. The farmer himself will show you the world of crabs, from birth to death. This arthropod will no longer hold any secrets for you. If you’re brave, the visit ends with a dive in the crab cage, home to over a hundred crabs measuring 15 cm or more… An unforgettable experience!
A TRADITIONAL GUADELOUPEAN LUNCH [30/45 MINS]
After this atypical visit, rich in emotions for some of you, where the crabs have been introduced to you, we’ll stop off at a local restaurant. This is a no-frills place, frequented mainly by locals, where the tasty dishes are 100% traditional and change daily. Your guide will introduce you to a particular dish and explain how Guadeloupe’s cuisine and culinary identity came about.
A STOP AT THE ISLAND'S LARGEST RUM DISTILLERY [60 MINS]
Your immersive day continues with a stop at the island’s largest distillery, where everything takes on an extraordinary dimension. Your guide will take you on a tour of the distillery and explain how it makes its rums. You will then visit the boutique, where you will discover the brand’s rums. In the shop, you’ll also find a whole range of objects and souvenirs to take home with you!
AN EXCEPTIONAL MICRO-DISTILLERY : SMALL BUT GENEROUS [60 MINS]
You’ll discover a distillery on a human scale, with big ambitions. A change of scenery, taste and originality are their priorities. The distillery guide will take you on a tour of the production area and the cellar, explaining the distillery’s philosophy and the final taste they aim for. As the tour progresses, a tasting session is offered to those who wish. At the end of the tour, you can visit the exhibition room.
THE MOULE FARMERS' MARKET, 14TH MOST BEAUTIFUL IN FRANCE [60 MINS]
This day of immersion will end in the most wonderful way: with a guided tour of the farmers’ market in the town of Le Moule. Your guide will show you around the market, its producers and craftspeople, and introduce you to the culture and culinary history of Guadeloupe. He’ll introduce you to some of the local specialities. You will have some free time to explore the town and do some shopping before returning to our departure point.
END POINT >
